Ronald Koeman discussion

Yes mate, the Everton supporters are militant in extreme, no way on earth we would put up with anythign really, how long was Kenwright in charge for, how many of the crowd clapped him, we've put up with two terrible owners - an utter lack of investment, losing out on what would have been the best stadium location in the country in kings dock, ,nearly got moved to kirkby, lost the most talented player we have ever produced as a teenager, have had years and years of absolutely terrible performances in the derby and cup competitions

But yeah the Everton supporters FORCED KOEMAN TO PLAY THE KIDS

Utter ridiculous statement by you mate

Or is the more likely reason for your stance about that the following - You have previously stated numerous times about how Koeman doesn't and won't use our younger players and it would be a disaster for the academy? Now that he is showing that he has absolutely no problem at all playing kids - you have to think up a reason for it - and one that doesnt give him any credit or show that your previous criticsm about him was utterly wrong

Everton now have the most teenage goalscorers in the leagues history, have become the first team to start that many teenagers in one game this season, and have become the first team in the premier leagues history to have two teenage goalscorers in the same game

But the park end made him do it...

Holgate, DCL, Lookman, Davies - in just 22 games in charge in the league, do you think thats an impressive trust in young players mate, or did the park end make him play them all - and if so when will this pressure he feels subside - will the park end demand more of them mate, maybe by season end we will have a complete team of teenagers playign - after all Koeman doesnt decide, the supporters make him choose them
Must admit mate I was getting a bit frustrated too during the autumn. Results and performances were poor and I wanted to see youth given a chance. Not necessarily from the start but with places on the bench ahead of the likes of Cleverley etc. I did get to the stage where I was beginning to believe the rumours that he just didn't trust young players.

But I'm happy to concede I was wrong. It would appear that he was just giving the established players an opportunity to show what they could do. They couldn't hack it so he gave youth a chance. I believe he is pragmatic so if they are good enough they are old enough. DCL and Lookman prove this. Great to see.

In what way mate ???

I was just getting a cheap Alan Partridge gag in, relating to the relentless devotion of recycled if's, but's and maybe's.

We have a bad run, he's failing, we have a good run, it's due to this that or the other (Gana going to AFCON and getting lucky with Davies), anything other than he's now not failing and starting to turn things around.

All I have to do mate is quote Koeman's own words at you to pan that post of yours.

It's circumstances that have dictated this infusion of a couple of players from the academy into the first team. And to me it's obvious since his last comment on the subject of younger players starting games that he's been a lot more accommodating with that development. He's accepted the way he behaved at S'ton wont go down well here.

Again creating your own pathetic truth. Southampton youngsters weren't good enough. That's why he didnt play them. Besides Southampton Koeman played youth everywhere but that obviously doesnt fit your anti-koeman opinion.

Sorry mate. The mods have said action will be taken for going off topic in here especially over Martinez related stuff.

Well why not let the mods deal with it as they see appropriate then, rather than you continue at trying to play the mod in addition to the pantomime role you currently play on here!

For most, this isn't an issue. Most can confidently discuss Ronald Koeman and remain on topic.

But could those who are tempted to bait other members simply to talk about Martinez, please do so in the Martinez thread.

If it's locked due to a period of inactivity, give one of us a shout and we'll reopen it or tell you to start an new one. Here's a current one; https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/martinez-new-belgium-head-coach.90386/

Obviously some comparison and contrasting between Koeman and Martinez is understandable, the issue is those who go off on one, or simply want to goad a particular member, or both.

Anyway, Ronald Koeman, with his head like a wonderful grapefruit.

Koeman has shown reputation counts for little, if you are not performing you will be shipped out and I think that has helped to raise their games.

The switch in formation also helping. Just wonder if when Gueye comes back will that upset the applecart. I would drop Barry and have Gueye and Morgan as our holding midfielders, can we drop Mirallas and move Ross further upfront to keep Davies in the team?

Anyway, Koeman.

This is not the Davek/Martinez show.

It's the Koeman thread.

It says at the top.

Yes, And he was stating Koeman has to finish 4th inside three seasons to keep his job

My replay was just highlighting the fact he didn't think that of the last manager

I think it's a fair point to highlight, No?

Yes to a point - we have a situation at times where Martinez discussion takes over however.
