More tactically out thought for 25 minutes in the 2nd half then the back 4 as a unit. Howe pushed up both full backs which caused us to drop deeper (see lookman compared to the 1st half) Koeman rightly changed (just in time!) with Holgate on and baines and Coleman pushing further forward to push Bmouth back hence the Lakaku 3rd came from Coleman. Flexibility of tactics seen the game out as well as certain centre forward.

Too slow, too error prone (Mori) Barry too slow in front of them today, although he's been great recently.

It was a good call for the change and it helped.
The flexibility of tactics, I read more as we are able to use the long ball. We played our best stuff in the 1st half, when we played mostly on the floor with some long passes. It was to our detriment in the 2nd half, as we dropped deeper and relied on a hoof to clear. The ball came coming back and only when we started to pass the ball around again, did we get back control.

Lukaku scored loads last season. Yet we weren't seventh. Mad that isn't it?

To be honest, despite the run we're on, I still don't expect us to finish above seventh, but it's giving the second half of the season a bit more of a purpose.

We'll finish 7th, which is an improvement. The attitude is good atm. But it really doesnt matter. As I argued a few weeks back: the pressure is off. Our players play better and with freedom without that pressure? Do bears defecate in the woods?
