Just as his goals got us out of the brown stuff last season (though they dried up toward the end), so are his goals this season the difference between a team mid-table and one
To expand on @maccavennie's point
United - The pony tailed Ibramohvic ( sp ? )
Spurs - Kane
Arsenal - Sanchez
City - Aguero
Chelsea - Costa
Liverpool - Coutinho
All of those, bar probably Chelsea, would look weaker without their main man. But, they, like us, would get very good money for their main man, so the trick is spending the money wisely.
Pre the Chinese influence, it would probably be fair to argue that we were more likely to lose Lukaku than any of the above were likely to lose their main man, and that's still the case, but less so.
We need to finish the season well to show we're close to the, so called, big six, which will give us a fighting chance of keeping Lukaku.
If we can do that, and strengthen in the Summer, then there's no reason we can't start to knock on the door of the top four on a regular basis. End of the day, there are only four Champions League places, and, over the next four or five years, I reckon those places will be a bit more fluid than they have been in recent years
Ok mate. Have it your way. I hope he's as big a tit as Martinez was in his first season. Little bit to go for the fat Dutch lad before that happens though.
I'm being consistent mate. I dont like the man. I haven't forgotten his antics earlier in the season and I don't care for his attitude in relation to this club.boss isn't it Dave, tits and fat heads everywhere but somewhere in between we will all find the common ground of wanting the best for Everton![]()
last paragraph WB is spot on. Winning the league last season case in point. That top 4 will become a free for all, only takes one of the so called top sides to have a crap start ( Chelsea last season ) and they sack their manager and that gives someone else a chance to gatecrash the party.
I don't think Rom will be here next season, but I have been saying that for 2 seasons so who knows.
"I’m happy that I changed the system at the time they had got it to 3-2, and we got the control back and scored some fantastic goals."
Lol.
Lukaku got us out of the brown stuff more like.
Is this feller setting himself up as a genius? 17 years in management - nothing major to show for it.
It was very good until they got back into it and our arses went as per...before the greatest ever signing in the past 30 years got the job done. He was a great signing. The best maybe? £27M piad out and he'd fetch £60M now, eh?
And @maccavennie
Fellas, knock it off with the insults towards manager past and present.
People are reporting it and if there's any more of it, someone is gonna be taking a break.
Discuss sensibly or not at all.
Ha ha. You've been saying this or something like this all night. I think you're more interested in trying to goad me than enjoying a win.Nothing worthless about enjoying and win and entertaining the masses...Not only are we winning, we are doing it in style!

There there mate. Next season eh?
I never think Everton winning or improving is worthless. Glad that under Koeman we are.Ha ha. You've been saying this or something like this all night. I think you're more interested in trying to goad me than enjoying a win.

fwiw
I think Rom'll be here next season.
That's not for naive reasons, I just don't think he'll get an offer of regular first team football from anyone above us in the league, and the boy wouldn't be happy sat on someone else's bench.
