We should certainly have a few bob this window, the TV deal increase, the massive, massive wages we will have saved, the fees for some of the deadwood, the increase in off field cash flow, utterly no excuse to not spunk an utter crapload.

BUT

What does 100m buy you these days?

From what I'm hearing Dave, there's going to be some serious money to spend on transfers in the Summer.

This season has been about sorting out the mess that Martinez left behind and getting rid of fringe players on big money.

Maybe he knows this, which the tone of his interviews has become more conciliatory of late ?.

We are very fortunate at the moment. If I can say it how I feel it;

We have Schneiderlin the young Zidane or Pirlo if you will

Lookman the young Maradona

Barkley the young Kaka

Lukaku the young Anichebe

Holgate the young Koeman


All in all this is very excellent and I am happy, if a little disconcerted as I am currently away for work and staying in an excellent hotel, albeit the lady next door seems to be replaying all six of our goals from the weekend and enjoying them over and over

Why? Because he'll be sold this summer.

Being sold this summer will depend entirely (my opinion) on if he signs a new contract. If he doesn't we can't let him run it down. If he signs an extension he will be here 1 more year for sure
