Ronald Koeman discussion

Haven't felt this positive about EFC ever. Definitely the Moshiri factor, we've wished for this type of ambition for years and years and now we've got it and this club is on the way back up.

Surreal.
Totally agree mate, I think this mosheri guy it not for standing still, this guy means business, I wouldn't be surprised if before xmas we have some news on the stadium.

Looking forward now as to who Koeman is going to bring in

Its a statement not a legal document. Of course he has resigned and they accepted once compensation was agreed.
Fair enough, just thought it was ambiguous wording. I read it and understood he said he wanted to leave and they said "alright", freeing him up to do as he pleases. Loads of managers resign, their club accepts it, then they move to new clubs months later with no compensation. Surely "he expressed a desire to join Everton and the two clubs have since agreed compensation" or something would have been much more apt. Anyway, welcome Ronny.

I'd probably best post something sensible lol

I'm pleased with this. Ok, Emery may have whetted our appetites a little but prior to him being mentioned, 90% were happy with Koeman once Jose was officially taken.

He is bringing his backroom staff minus Sammy Lee, which will include a fitness coach, a lesser spotted species in the last few years, and it shows.

Here's hoping for a good summer and forthcoming season, all hail our new Dutch/Iranian allied overlords!

It feels like I've been having foreplay for around a month, then all of a sudden the deadly deed is done and it's over in a flash

To me, if this fitness coach is as good as we hear he is, that will be his most important signing.

Looking at the comments in the BBC article no one seems to be able to get their head around that we're a bigger club, have a far greater history and have a new ambitious owner determined to make his mark. They seem to think it's just the salary that has convinced him to move.

This is Everton 2016 bitches. Just watch and learn.

Defensively Southampton have been good on the occasions I have watched them, hopefully he can bring that element to our game. We have looked great at times last season going forward but it was the abject defending which cost us as times.

Excited to see what signings he will make.

It's a move in the right direction at least it's a step up from the usual managers we are linked with a massive step up.

If he can get us in Europe again and challenging for champions league its a good thing. We can attract a even bigger / better manager after that if he puts us in those positions
