Could well place us above Arsenal in his first season. Sure they've had a disappointing season by their standards. But we haven't been at our best until the new year.
So considering a lot of factors that have hindered Koeman's first season - A squad that could do with a few fresh faces, a squad that had just finished in the bottom half, missing out on key transfer targets. I think we are beginning to see the team play how Koeman wants.
The bad run before Christmas came at a time where Koeman was still finding out his best team, players ect. Bringing through exciting young players into the first team and them playing a key part, a fantastic home record - Improved defence with the added attacking flair going forward. We've come up short against the big teams away from home, and perhaps his approach to those games were a little cautious but I'm confident we'll start to see this change next season.
Finishing above Arsenal and 6th place should be the target now. And if Koeman and his team achieve that, then it's a pleasing start to his Everton management.
