Felt slightly better about the pen seeing as Ibrahimovic's goal was wrongly ruled offside. Would have killed me otherwise
That's a good post mate and sums up the difference between our last 2 managers. I'm not sure if it was last season or the one before but koemans saints team embarrassed us 3 0 at St Marys while martinez just stood there and didn't change a thing. He didn't even bother to make a substitution.
For the 1st time in years we've got a man of real prestige managing us and we're going places under koeman
he seems to make many more correct calls than crap ones. He'll do for me. Hopefully he'll get some financial backing this summer and manage to hang onto to the players he wants to keep.

As right as he got it today, he got it wrong tactically with his subs at old Trafford. However he is very much in credit this season, with his ability to change things to get what he wants from the team.
Shame we had the lull earlier in the season where we didn't win for like 8 games...

He's performed above expectation, I would say. Not only guaranteed us 7th place and European footy after two shocking seasons, but he's made us good to watch again, Goodison a fortress once more, and he's obliterated the deadwood. Open the chequebook Farhad.

Unfortunately we didn't have Tom Davies and Morgan schnerderlin in the team. Heck even cleverley was getting some game time during this period. It was last summers transfer window that 'sealed our fate' before Xmas.Shame we had the lull earlier in the season where we didn't win for like 8 games...

I don't like this tactically right or wrong stuff. It's the obvious thing to say win or lose. Example is Valencia today changed the game and we took the lead so he got it tactically correct. Now Robles has a brain fart and Burnley equalized and say Burnley shut up shop and we don't score again...does that mean he got it wrong or did he get it right but Robles let us down.

I do miss watching us ship 2-3 goals a game and conceding constantly in the last minute, ahh halcyon days.

My only criticism of Koeman is that he likes mayo on chips. Mayo is evil and like kryptonite to me. Other than that, he's boss.

I don't know where he gets this reputation from. Some of the goals against Bournemouth was as good as anything produced during our '72 point season'. Today in the second half, it was great how the likes of Barkley, miralles and Valencia interchanged with one another supplied by Davies and Morgan.
