He doesn't make many mistakes, but for second year running his gameplan against Chelsea has been an utter joke. You can't go man for man against a side who are better man for man in every area.
There's perspective and there's what we just saw then. That was utterly disgraceful and Koeman has to take ownership of that for the way he's set us up for this game.
He is turning us into the 90's Wimbledon but with a heart of glass.
It's plain to see we don't have any players capable of playing that way regardless champions or not. we bought the wrong type of players ffs. Completely stripping off any pace or dribbling and reducing ourselves to absolute timid passer throughout the team.

Everton in getting beat by better team shocker. Chelsea showed us up last year at Goodison and we haven't improved since then so why are people expecting a different result?
Until we start buying the players we have this summer whilst retaining the likes of Barkley and Lukaku we aren't going to be matching the league champions any time soon. You can't have a one in and one out policy and expect to be competing with the top teams.

You think if he doesn't win a cup or beat 3 of Chelsea, Liverpool, City, United, Arsenal or Spurs to a place in the Top 4 he should be sacked just because he's brought in a few players in a ludicrously overpriced market?

Imo the first 45 minutes in the first leg with split is the only time we've looked any decent this season. Playing two wingers, we spread the pitch, played with a decent tempo and got at them. Been dire viewing pretty much every other minute of this season, when surprise surprise we've played with no width.
It's like he's just trying to cram players into the side without balancing it
Are we still pretending he's 'ruthless' and 'a winner' or is it ok to admit now that he doesn't even bother taking a knife to these gunfights?

I think you'll find I've said all along we are going to struggle to get 7th.
I stand by that.
If we get dumped out of the cups etc and have a poor season overall then why should Koeman keep his place? Thought we were aiming for the top etc..
I don't take joy in saying that mate, it's just what it looks like to me.
