Ronald Koeman discussion

He's established some discipline at the club, seems to have got the players fitter and done a revamp of the squad.

He spouts the party line about The Project, so he'll be quite popular with the bosses. He's by no means the worst manager we've ever had and yet I doubt he'll be much missed when he eventually goes.

In my view, never going to be a great manager anywhere because I doubt his ability to motivate just above average players.

I don't think Koeman can be blamed. We must have ran out of money. Think if Barkley hadn't done his hamstring then he would've gone and we'd have spent that money on a striker.

Of course he can. He was still going on about Costa on loan last week. I don't think he had meaningful targets and left it late.

Said it yesterday.

How can the board expect koeman to succeed if they don't fully back him in the market? We go into September without a main striker and one or two injuries from having both a striker and defensive crisis. We have already had one striker crisis this season and it's only been 3 weeks.

So if we struggle this season and some fans turn on koeman then simply ask yourself, would we not be doing better if we had bought a striker , another goal scorer? If this is koemans team then he has built a side yo support a striker the board didn't go out and buy in the end.

He's spent £200+mill.

Was £45mill of Siggy a must? £25mill on Klassen?

He'll get judged on what he spent and what he brought in with what he had.

Yep.

Have mentioned before, look at the Klopp over the road. That's practically Brendan Rodgers' squad he took to two cup finals and a 4th place finish.

He's been had off by Moshiri and Bill too.

His next presser is going to be interesting.

Stick a centre forward in the team and yes they were.

He may have spent x million but that's like saying he bought boss attackers but the goalkeeper has no arms, why do we keep losing?

Next Coach +1
Yes, the board doesnt give him a strong ball player but it is a good excuses to play rubbish football?
Of Course, Not. We have tried to play Cahill alone in the past and still got something but DM didnt say the board anything.
It is a part of football and he knew how much we gave to him and tried to turn it best.

And even we give him what he wants, I am really doubts with his tactics.
No wide, 3 back and slow pace, this is premier league.
Most of team especially the RC, they can play well in counter attack.
I am very interested to see derby match which is the slowest team vs the quickest team in premier league.

So that's our squad (until January at least), I think we have strengthened in general but we could still have done with another striker and centre half. Will be interesting to hear his next press conference as he's been saying this himself and he's been let down by the board in that respect.

Can't see us getting into the top 4 this season, we don't have enough quality, but we can improve on 7th and be in contention for a trophy imo. Make it so Ronald

I just don't see us improving on 7th TB.

I honestly think we are going to be dull as dishwater to watch, but for some reason think he will grind out results to get to at least the semis of the Europa. Would be great to be within just a couple of games from a knockout tie for a champions league group place.

It's going to be very frustrating watching Williams, Jags and Baines struggle in some of the crap games we are likely to have and know they've had 3 transfer windows and still ended up with that.

Let's see how we look though when the squads 10 games into the league season. Maybe they'll surprise us.

The defence was fixed last season.

Look at United. Jose sorted them out at the back last season and was lacking up front. Bought a 20+ season striker, they're shoe ins for the title.

Where does it stop with Koeman? Another £100mill? If we got a striker and not a defender and results still weren't right, would he complain that he wasn't backed?
