Ronald Koeman discussion

To be fair he has the exact same money that moyes had.

Both sold to buy and based on our activity j the summer we attempted to achieve that again. So if moyes or Martinez sold a 90 million pound player then probably would have spent that as well.

Moyes had to endure sell to survive, plus a good few windows without making an actual signing.

Koeman has come close to winning some big games, but so far he only managed to beat City and Arsenal at home. Nobody had any qualms with the way he set up for those games. I'd like to see us take Spurs to the cleaners.

Spurs haven't had a great start to the season, heard a Spurs fan saying they have been a tad sluggish and a bit dodgy at the back. We're the home team and need to take the game to them, none of this defensive, negative crap, obviously not go gung - ho, but get at them from the off

What were you expecting him to have achieved in 15 months mate?

Personally not much really. I don't expect much in the full 36 months either though. As Khal says above I think this is the biggest job he will get at this point in his managerial career.

Who should be the next boss Mike? We are going to be desperate for a new one in two seasons time and will accept anything, so it's best to start the conversation now whilst we are relatively stable and still with some hope of better times.

I will be watching how Quique Setién does at Betis this season with a lot of interest, and if all goes well will start a thread in April. I hope to see you there.

Tuchel if still available, the bloke at hoffenheim if he continues impressing with them, and klopps best mate at Hud

That's a good question, and it really depends where we are at the end of Koeman's tenure. If we're regularly in the top 6 or so, we should be pushing for the likes of Tuchel, Sampaoli or someone. If we've gone backwards (mid table or lower) then it'll probably be someone of the Marco Silva/Eddie Howe calibre.

It would be amazing to have some loon like Sampaoli on the touchline, getting the lazy baxtards working at maximum and always moving forward. Would be a perfect match I think.

Marco Silva I'm watching aswell. Have a feeling he could be a lot better than the clubs on his CV would suggest.

I know people mock Eddie Howe for being English and a bit beige, but I actually think he's a really good manager. Wouldn't want him as the man to take us to the next level like, but to have Bournemouth finishing in the top half of the Premier League and actually playing good football with a mostly Championship quality squad, he definitely should be more appreciated.

I guess there is a fear of an attacking manager at a small club that regularly ship several goals in a game when the plan all goes wrong.......considering how it ended up with RM, but I'd agree he has done a great job.

I know. But he's had Bournemouth on an upward trajectory since he got there, whereas Martinez pretty much crippled Wigan by relegating them. There are certainly comparisons as far as defensive frailties go though.
