If I had to bet, which I don't, I would say he thought the team were not sufficiently prepared, individually, to cope with their individual opponents, which is why, for example, Holgate didn't know which way the winger would go, inside or outside, and that is hard for a young centreback playing as a fullback.
 
They weren't prepared or weren't arsed?Let's face it he fielded half a team of ressies, intent comes from the top.

He needs to pick one system I would go 352 and play it consistently only rotate when a player needs resting or is out of form. Currently he's scrambling to find anything that works.
 
The only times we've shown anything going forward is Rooney behind DCL and or Sandro. The only time we've defended well is with three at the back against City. Sadly I think the problem looks deeper that was gutless last night losing battles all over the pitch, not looking up to it and off the pace that's a disconnect between manager and players I fear.
 

We really need to see a response at Old Trafford this weekend.It's not the ideal place to go to considering how we are at the moment.But then again it's the perfect challenge for us.Our backs are up against the wall here.Will we wimp out yet again or will we show some fight and bottle?For everyone's sake it better be the latter.Three consecutive hammerings in the space of one week would be totally unacceptable.

He did say videos showing Gomez coming off the left wing and shooting with his right foot were show to the players and surely videos of Gomez's corner kicks which were on the money all night
 

He'll see out this season atleast, he needs to earn his corn now and turn this round, he's had full backing from the board, this is his team, he now has to deliver with it.

Massive fail not getting a striker in though, but that is not down to Koeman, I'm sure he was pressing hard for one but Walsh and Kenwright are more to blame if you ask me, they are the ones in charge of recruiting players.

In hindsight Lukaku should never have been sold without a suitable replacement lined up.

The word 'manager' kind of gives it away what he's supposed to do, in this case, manage the resources he's in charge of.

You know, the players.
