Ronald Koeman discussion

At the game today I heard a bizarre rumour that Ron was having an affair with the girl off Countdown (Rachel Riley I think her name is) but it sounds like nonsense to me. Allegedly he met her at a charity function. The guy who told me said that Ron's wife walked in on him "taking her up the batty", whatever that means. Probably bulls**t.

If Koeman is getting a grip of Rachel Riley, he's definitely punching above his considerable weight.

My initial response to this was a little short sighted as we are only 5 games into the season so that has to be taken into account.

What comes to mind though is can you see a team of 11 players at the club who will a) be a winning team and b) koeman will play?

Personally I'd love to see 2 wingers, siggurdson in the middle in a 433 with sandro/(reluctantly) lewen up top. Siggurdson creating and 3 quickie forwards who can form a partnership. So that is me offering an unrealistic answer to the question. But can you see koeman doing that any time soon or continue to shoe horn these players into a system and hope for the best? At least the forced tactics last season worked somewhat for us, this time there isn't a real tactic to get behind as of yet.

I think we can get through to Christmas and grind out results, purely because outside of the top 6 this league is filled with average sides who are usually there for the taking.

Once we've got to January we can obviously start to address the shortcomings of this transfer window.

You ok Hun?

Maybe there'll be signs of improvement when we start playing crap teams. Usually helps when things aren't going well.

We won't be playing any teams crapper than Ruzumberok or Split & we weren't that convincing against those. Wouldn't think Atalanta are any better than Bournemouth, so I don't hold too much hope.

In Koeman's defence, it would appear he's been badly let down by whoever does the transfer business (& I hope Moshiri will be holding an inquest there), but regardless of that, he should be doing better with the players he's got.

Gone tomorrow hopefully.
