Ronald Koeman discussion

Nothing to do with personalities, it's just simply neither are very good managers.

True but based on the article it makes out the reason why we brought Koeman in was to bring a strict regime after Martinez's "nice" environment.

Also, it tells me that the board thought that Koeman's methods would be the best way to challenge and trust him with a lot of funds.

Think what we have to do is what City realised after they got rid of Hughes...get a proven named manager.

If he wins today it changes the tide.

The best remedy for supporter unrest are wins.

I would be absolutely made up with 3 points and some form of coherent performance that doesn't look so disjointed and lacking in everything.

One big performance and win and you just never know, it could save him his job though I think we've gone past that point tbh

Problem we have is we are not able to attract a consistent trophy winning manager. It means we try our arm in the likes of RM &RK, but for some reason we give this fella a kings ransom for wages and signings...

I agree over the win, but a good performance and a defeat will also be good. I firmly believe it is not just the defeats that are the single problem, the actual performances are embarrassing. Against Lyon we tried and worked hard, which is a start.
The announcement of the starting 11 may be pivotal to how the crowd get behind them today

Yes mate I totally agree. There were actually some good moments in the Lyon game, the 2nd half was much better and the crowd responded to that. Like you say, the performances have been absolutely abysmal and far too many players have hidden and walked off the pitch without breaking into a sweat.

Also like you said, if he picks tje type of side we are all hoping for, he would be given a lot more leeway. Going to be very interesting come 12.30pm to see who has been given the nod

Another zinger against Koeman today.

The Everton boss stormed up to the referee after the match to begin a heated discussion, and Nijhuis has now revealed what was said by his countryman.

'He wanted 10 minutes of injury time,' he told De Telegraaf. 'Then I said, "If we'd had 15 minutes you wouldn't have scored."'

'He didn't like that and then walked away.'

Absolutely brilliant, even the ref is laughing at us.

Any Half Man Half Biscuit fans on here? I'm thinking of that line from The Referee's Alphabet - 'B is for 'babies', which a lot of managers cry like when a decision has not gone their way'.
Makes his brother and coaches do training. Whilst he sits in his office witg a locked door scanning his good. [Poor language removed] we paying this clown for
Ferguson seems to be very involved in the coaching, as you'd expect, but I'm surprised about Ron. I thought he'd be more hands on. I don't know how involved Bob was in comparison, anyone know?

You would think he would be sacked if we get beat today.

I think we’ll get battered, I don’t think he’ll be sacked though.
He’s had his chance at a big club and blew it because he was too lazy or incompetent to insist on signing a striker before anyone.
