Ronald Koeman discussion

Chopping and changing with no clear idea of a game plan. A lack of width, pace, organisation, threat, composure, and defensive solidity. We are a complete ruderless shambles of a football team right now. If the board aren't worried and making plans then I dread to think how bad this could get.

Leicester acted on Shakespeare recently because, unlike us, they have ambition for their side and a minimum level of achievement for a manager to keep their job.

Us? No, we're "a family club"...

The fact Koeman is in charge right now is nothing short of a disgrace. The lack of ambition is startling - it doesn't actually matter if Moshiri et al believe Koeman is the man for the long term, because you simply have to have a red line where if you drop below it then you act for the dignity of the actual club.

We all know we won't go down after 38 games are gone, but that shouldn't be the point.

theres always a chance though and ridding us of koeman would be a start at stopping the rot

Leicester isn't the greatest example. I don't think their owners ever really wanted to give it to Shakespeare. Whereas Koeman was our boards number 1 choice.

Let’s see what happens but few will be surprised if we have to take yet another hammering at Chelsea to put another nail in Koemans coffin. Even that might not be enough.

For Gods sake does anyone at Everton have even an ounce of pride in the club? What exactly needs to be proven / unproven at this stage? We have been dire, awful, diabolical from the point the first ball was kicked this season.

Once again the joke is on the fans. I’m not one for banners and protests but they arise from sheer and utter frustration so if it comes to that I’ll give my full support.

I was watching West Ham on Friday and thinking "bloody hell these are crap, wrong players, wrong system, no fight, no way will they put up with this crap much longer and Billic is surely going to be sacked". Tjem I realised that we were on exactly the same points and playing and looking just as crap

I can imagine neutrals watching us today and thinking "wow, that Everton side look like one of the worst in the league, I wonder when they are going to sack Koeman"

Koeman in his spare time

Famous last words. I’m genuinely concerned.

Think of how bad we've actually been - as in as bad as one could possibly imagine - and we're still only two wins off 7th.

There's a massive jam of pure crap between 9th and 20th in this league every year where the underperformance from us would have to reach even more spectacular degrees of bad to even compete with relegation.

Even if we kept Koeman, I'd be amazed if we finished lower than like 12th. Again though, that really isn't the point - the threat of relegation shouldn't be the jumping point for sacking a manager for us; it should be the danger of missing out on the top eight at the very minimum.

Bar palace we are by far the worst team in the league. Even Bournemouth below us play decent football and had a recent good win recently. What's that now 17 competitive games this season and we've mustered a good first half at home v split a decent first half away at city and comfortably bear a championship side. No other club with "ambition" would tolerate that

A lad who I was drinking with today was saying "It's Arsenal though - top side".

The thing is we didn't give them a game. Burnley, Huddersfield and Watford would have challenged them. The rot set in when we had a sniff of closing in on CL places towards the last third of last season. We just settled into 7th and it's unbelievable how much WBA switched off to keep us in 7th. We've been garbage for the best part 6 months.

Get rid and get Paulo Fonseca in. He's lush.
