Ronald Koeman discussion

I'll be honest, I said to mates I wanted koeman in the new year when bobby had lost his way. Didn't think we'd stand a chance of getting him (always thought he was nailed on for the arsenal job) as I didn't think we had the ambition to match his. When there was talk intially that he had turned us down, I'll admit I wanted emery. But when you here the pundits speak so highly of koeman, it is obvious he is very highly rated (although not by all Everton fans, let's hope he can win them over). The appointment of monchi as DOF would be the icing on the cake. Not only would we have a proven manager of premiership experience (but also a high profile name in his own right) but also an astute DOF to work alongside him. It will be interesting if our attentions now turn fully to acquiring monchi, now koeman has been appointed.

Transition will not be as steep as people thought judging from the way we can adapt to high pressing, high tempo with lots of movement and still perform with satisfaction on the last day of the season.

The only thing koeman needs to instill is fitness and discipline. Which is way easier than teaching hibbert how to dribble.

Why, on such a fantastic day for theclub, are people arguing/criticising the validity of ITK's? Who gives a toss. You either believe them or you don't.

Calling people out who don't post on here is pretty poor as well.

Koeman is a fantastic choice as manager and we got him, we've (as a bi-product) caused a fume and also made a statement that just listening to 3 different radio stations on the way home from work a featured pundits saying the same thing. This is fantastic and he's already the best manager we've had on the last 3 years and hopefully will be up there as the best of our PL era.

I'm made up, unless he turns out to be crap then I'll fume because I'm fickle.

Great day.
Well said.

When the search for a new manager began it was often said we should go out and get the best manager available to us.

I think we have.

Barcelona paid PSV £4.25m for Koeman the player.

We paid Saints £5m for Koeman the manager.

Not too bad I'd say. *waits
Crazy how transfer fees have gone up. Koeman was one of the best and most elegant passers of the ball I'd ever seen from a defender. Utd have paid 30m for a lad who has played only 40 games. David Luiz 50m. What would koeman in his prime as a player be worth today?

No mate. If he does badly I'll claim I never wanted him anyway and use it to score points over fellow blues.

That sounds like a good way to spend your time, I mean what are the alternatives? Going outside in the sun or going the gym sound like a massive waste of time, you might as well point score on here all day.

Pointless post of the day time.

I rarely take any interest in stuff outside of L4, so a stat about his goals/appearances on the BBC stood out.

750 plus games, 250 plus goals.

He was a defender right?
