All he needs to do to keep the fans onside through a slump is demonstrate that he's willing to try new things, to find a solution.
He did exactly that at Southampton and sent them on a great run for the rest of the season.
What we've had enough of is Martinez's tactical dogma. Koeman doesn't suffer from that.

Agreed, he has a lot of work to do. Players leaving, underperforming players staying, and new signings.
The signings will hopefully give us all and the squad as a whole a big morale boost but it will take time to gel things together in the way Koeman wants.
I do expect progress this season but at times it may seem slow in coming.

I suppose the key and possibly the hardest thing for Ron to sort is to get all of the players back on side and wanting to put a shift in again. The Norwich game gave a good indication that there is still the team spirit there and it will be realy interesting to now see who he brings in and how he manages our bigger or more inflated ego owners.
