Ronald Koeman discussion

Rubbish, he is the manager of Everton and as such he should represent us with a view to building us up and taking us forward, I think the public perception of this is that even our manager doesn't take us seriously. i think he should be looking to build on the community feeling the club has nurtured over the last ten years or so, there have been times when that is the only thing that has kept us going, to destroy that in order to give the impression that he is ruthless would be a mistake and the people who oversee him shouldn't allow him to carry on gobbing off all over the press, at the moment the job looks too big for him a la Valencia, time will tell, but with his comments and crap football he wont get much time!

Show 'me yer studs, tirion.....

Ronald you legoman-headed tit, you just don't say things like that in that way about the club you are working for....true or not.

I don't know why people are wumming about on this as if surprised people don't like it. Posting nonsense tweets talking about thinking we are as big as Barça... deliberately ignoring the very basic complaint of most of the posters so far. That it may be true but it's just not done to say that in public, when you should be one of the biggest promoters of your club.

Just give the usual standard answer to these questions for feck sake. Zero need to make his point in that way.

It's ridiculous linking this back to the previous boss also. It's a standalone thing that would draw the same kind of attention from most fans of most clubs.

I don't see it impossible that he could have the fans on his back this season already if results get worse. Pure dumb to get the backs up of the fan base this early into his time here.

It isn't popular to say anything negative about Koeman, given he hasn't been here long and is generally doing a decent job.

On this forum, negativity about everything is popular so I disagree with you. Some posters on here revel in it. You'd struggle to find a positive post in their post count in the last month.

But he calls a spade a spade lads just like Roy Keane!

We love people who call spades spades around these parts.

Lads?

lad?

I long ago called for a press conference robot to be purchased. Leave the public comments to Managerbot2000 and whoever the current disappointment of a manager is can just get on with coaching or playing golf.

But...

1) We've just been absolutely smashed by Chelsea, more comprehensively outplayed than any time I can remember in the last decade

2) He's just told the world that we aren't big enough to keep our best player. Whilst that might be the painful truth, it is most certainly not what you want to hear your manager say - this is, after all, the man who is supposed to be getting us to the position where we could keep players like Lukaku.

The timing of this interview coming off the back of that spanking at Stamford Bridge has annoyed me.

Given him praise where he has deserved it this season, it's now only fair that he gets criticism where it's warranted too. He is in my bad books at the moment.
Think the problem is twofold. He's too honest for his own good. And he's not been here long enough to "get" Everton or the fans. I doubt he ever will even if he sees out his contract.

I bath in negativity until it seeps out of every pore. Loathing is the new love. Even this post is rubbish and it would be a waste of everyone's time to read it, if our time wasn't so worthless.

Moshiri was very clear....."my only job I said to hire or fire the manager".

I dont believe for one minute that Moshiri is "in awe" of Koeman.

Equally I don't for one minute believe Koeman meant Lukaku should leave. It's the Belgian press. Ron is a Dutch legend. Belgium were playing Holland. They despise each other.

Do the math.

so you are happy with his comments?

I'm not convinced his comments have been presented in the way they were said, or meant.
Ultimately, is there an Evertonian alive who thinks Lukaku is here for the long haul....or any player for that matter. Players and managers are transient....only supporters remain.
