Ronald Koeman discussion

Yeah I get that impression....

I've mentioned this before but for me there's a strange atmosphere around the club at the moment and I can't put my finger on it
We have a billionaire and have seen less investment into the squad than we had before he arrived. Now we have a manager advising our players to leave us for bigger clubs.

That's a definition of strange right there.

If you really believe that a manager employed by a club, a club who are trying to re-establish their place as a top level football club, who have already struggled to attract decent calibre players, despite the finances being available to do so, should be able to talk his employers and the club down in such a manner without critisim then I'm astonished.

It's bordering on gross misconduct in the business world. Which football has became a part of. Belittling the brand you're are employed to develop. Inexcusable. Even if the sentiments are probably correct.

I'm not going to defend him because he's obviously bang out of order but perhaps there's more to it than meets the eye.
For instance let's say Rom is a bad apple. Something I've always suspected since he patted Martinez on the head after scoring one time. Shows a lack of respect that. But hey that's just me. But what if it were true and he wants him out? He can't drop him but he can put him in the shop window and say come and get him. He doesn't have to sulk in the reserves, he's none the wiser, probably happier and trying harder and Koeman can get a replacement in January.
Plausible? I do hope so otherwise he can f right off as far as I'm concerned.
Could make sense I suppose Waldorf

Hes basically done the same as DAVID MOYES did at Utd when he said we should sell him Baines and Fellaini "for the good of their careers".

I've disliked him since he was Valencia manager and would have relegated them playing rubbish football if he hadnt been sacked.

This isnt a "Hollywood manager" yes he was a star player but hes a disrespectful arrogant man who has achieved nothing as a manager.

Who would even want to be in his company?

Dunno if it's been said already, it's just a passing thought, but maybe he's trying to get sacked... As he has realised the mess Kenwright and Co have left through years of neglect and he's realised the team is unbalanced, lacking work rate, lacking quality in areas and aging, maybe he realises he can't fix the mess he's been left with and doesn't want to tarnish his reputation with a team he sees finishing outside the top 7.

Let's face it if he wants his 'big move' then anywhere outside of European football while at Everton and spending the money he has isn't acceptable. If he gets sacked, he gets his payoff, and if the reason he got sacked was for saying the wrong things or something out of turn a few times then his new potential employer can't fault him for his tactics and how he plays football as a manager and Southampton along with our strong start be used as his bench mark in the Premier League and he will walk into another decent job easily and say how it was unfair that he was dismissed from Everton etc over saying Barcelona was a bigger club or whatever it is next that he says.

Could be way off the mark but it's just as plausible as some of the other suggestions I've read on here lol

At the end of the day when this ,understandable , fume has died down, Koeman will still be our manager and Moshiri/ Kenwright will still own the club. We are where we are, so why bust a blood vessel? Next match I'll be back in my seat next to my son urging the toffees on and hoping for miracles it's what we do and one day who knows tomorrow may actually be ours.....goodnight.

And on the other side of the coin, why should I dedicate my time to watch our team when the manager has told our best player to leave and weve just been smashed 5-0 ? He has zero affinity to the club and sees it as a 9-5 position.

Obviously being a fan I'll be up after midnight watching this turgid long ball dross aimed at 'focal point' Bolasie knowing that the manager doesnt give a flying ****.

Im done with him...hated him since he joined valencia and hes doing the same to us.

Because I'm passionate about my football team.

Anywhere from 2-5am for me.

No, you are as you said just way off the mark!

Do you know him personally or what? Quite firm in your stance there lol
Agreed I don't know him personally but that doesn't preclude me from commenting on this Capricorn One type theory. I actually dont care for koeman as a manager even though I don't know him personally either - and he has a head like a beetroot - this is an opinion based forum after all....
