If i had to compare Koeman to the previous manager - i see more similarities than differences. The biggest difference is his interviews. The biggest similarity - we are 100% dependent on Lukaku's matchday form. I cant imagine us winning when Rom is having a bad game or not playing. He is by far our best and most important player

Believe me, the people berating him have never, ever been praising his honesty.
5-0 against Chelsea can certainly change the mood.
i mentioned it in another thread our new chairman and manager have become quite vocal since that defeat.

i think a couple more crap results and silly comments from the boss and youd be proven wrong at the next home game Mike.
not saying its right, but i get the impression this season the atmosphere could easily get very nasty if we get into a rut like the last few games.
people still disgruntled from the last couple seasons. no big money spent when everybody expected. bolasie being our main signing. dull football. koemans comments.

I think most are willing to wait until the end of the season before giving a firm judgement on him to be fair, that seems like the rational thing.
Of course, but rational and football fans doesn't always go together. We have a crap run of results from here xmas and he will be feeling the heat whether it's all his fault or not.
I'm just saying I don't think some of the negativity towards him is just on forums. I doubt many are actively looking to turn everything into a negative on him, but I also don't think he was an appointment that has many buzzing which usually means people are quicker to turn unless shown something early on to shut them up.
Although fully behind giving him the minimum two seasons at least, I'm just kind of not arsed about him so far and don't think he will be here long or make much of a mark, so for me in this period of time for the club the more important part is likely to be what the new owner does or doesn't do.

We don't have a new chairman.
That's my general rule, managers all talk nonsense and I also switched off after a couple of seasons of Moyes post-match blamefests. However for me the way he referenced the club when speaking about Lukaku really stood out and was at best dumb, and was very bad timing after getting hammered by Chelsea. He isn't making it easy to like him!
