Southampton fans saying "don't trust him, he'll be gone in two seasons."

Like we don't already know that. Difference is, we understand why he'll be gone then - either to bigger things, or because we've booted him out. It's not a problem to us.
Unless we end up totally ace and in the champions league and he wants to stay beyond

I've said this before but with the backing he's going to get he'll have to seriously impress to get another club interested in him.

I read that this morning, it was a great read and you explained yourself well! How did it come about?

Thanks for reading! This is actually my third time writing it. I struck up dialogue over the years with one of the Echo journalists and one day they were in a pinch and asked if I'd want to do it and I went for it. Been fortunate enough they've asked me back a couple more times.

If I were you mate, I'd be raging that they've used a photo of Neville and his suggestion Stones would be a good signing for Manure.
Other than that, fair does to ya.

Hahaha, I had the same thought! Unfortunately, I've got no editorial control over the photo choices!

Can't fail to be impressed what he said. Wanted emery initially, but he seems such a 'good fit' watching that interview. Referring to us as a family, wanting to get the passion from the fans, club has shown the ambition and him wanting to be part of that. Even bill didn't say anything stupid (think he's learnt his lesson from last time). He just let koeman explain his vision, so glad he's keeping unsworth and dunc on board. I guarantee when he steps out onto that dugout for the Tottenham game, the atmosphere will be electric and he will really understand how passionate we are as fans.

What we need now is to come out the traps in top gear.....win the first couple games.....maybe top of the league at the end of September, or in the top two or three places anyway.

Boy, the old lady will be rocking ;)

What saints fans don't get is it is not koemans job to get us winning the league, well it is and isn't.

He was employed to improve results, build a squad and hopefully challenge for trophies all at the same time. If he gets us top 6 for 2 years, perhaps a cup or not, but got us europe before leaving, it would be a succesful job done for the manager. That is what we need before we dream of bigger things.

Hence why koemans was chased, he is the best manager available for the job.
