Ronald Koeman discussion

Can't fail to be impressed what he said. Wanted emery initially, but he seems such a 'good fit' watching that interview. Referring to us as a family, wanting to get the passion from the fans, club has shown the ambition and him wanting to be part of that. Even bill didn't say anything stupid (think he's learnt his lesson from last time). He just let koeman explain his vision, so glad he's keeping unsworth and dunc on board. I guarantee when he steps out onto that dugout for the Tottenham game, the atmosphere will be electric and he will really understand how passionate we are as fans.
Agreed. I just hope everyone is patient. This is going to be a project, and the first season, as we well know, is no indication of how it is really going go. Let's enjoy the honeymoon, then by about the start of the New Year, after those two Christmas away games in the dead of winter, we will have a better idea of where we are going. I have to say though, I feel a lot more optimistic than I did last time we went through this. The last honeymoon season was just too good to be true, and so it was to prove. I would prefer a slow, steady start, instead of flash, bang, fumble...fail, (all honeymoon sexual innuendoes and puns are totally intended).

Dutch Ron. Making us great again.

We could win every game for two years straight and he'd still jump at the Barcelona job. It is what it is.
As @KUEFC09U2 said, if Barcelona came in for him then arguably he'd have done a great job. Equally, it's hard to ignore the draw they have.

Massive team, with a huge world profile and a talented squad. Add to the fact that he's pretty much a legend within their fan base.

I would never have any qualms with him leaving for Barca and if it occurs then so be it.

Aspiration is one thing, delusion is quite another! Barca are the biggest club on the planetand anyone who wants to be the best in what they do,mwould want to play for, manage, coach, mow the grass at the place!

I think what's important is that he's not out there chasing other jobs. He quietly went about his business at Southampton, had two fantastic seasons by their standards and then we came in for him. It's not like he was doing a Lukaku and coming out stating he wanted to move to a bigger team or whatever, he earned his payrise and promotion. If Barca come in for any of our staff like John Stones for example I'd not begrudge them wanting to leave. If Koeman earns the right for Barca to come in for him then he'll have left us in a much better place than he found us and that's fine by me.

Can he just win his first game for us please lids, before we wave him off to Barca ?

Southampton fans saying "don't trust him, he'll be gone in two seasons."
Like we don't already know that. Difference is, we understand why he'll be gone then - either to bigger things, or because we've booted him out. It's not a problem to us.

Quite touching that So'ton fans are so concerned about little old Everton. Wonder when they'll pack in the Fatal Attraction bit, accept their ex dumped them, and remember they've a club of their own they could be obsessing about - August? September? Christmas maybe?

Bit mean that the big project at St. Mary's refuses to make any statements, be linked with any players, size up managers other than Moyes or Eddie Howe, or anything like that so that we could comment on all their happenings the way they do on ours.
