Watching the videos - He's sending out a message to the players already - "team spirit" = hard work, and don't expect an easy ride.

Agreed! Even in his playing day, you could see he had what one would call, a strong character. In other words, no messing and no time for idiots. I get the feeling the dressing room is going to be a very different place from now on - it needs to be!

That's not gone down well at Southampton, their hierarchy probably didn't want that coming out

But that just shows how they are not a big ambitious club...quite the opposite as they clearly didn't value him

Interesting that in the behind the scenes video Elstone said "nice to meet you" to Koeman, so either he's solely delt with Rob Jansen and he wasn't there when Koeman met Kenwright & Moshiri.

The fact he seemed so focused on his new role and didn't go into one about his previous management role in England is very encouraging for me. No waxing lyrical about the past of our beloved club - not too much like. Seems to have a "Here and now" application to him. That's important given how much he has to evaluate our current setup. Quiet optimism and a sense of great things to come.
