Yep that's a grade A brown stinky stuff storm going over at FC Barcelona. It almost seems like they should have got shut of Messi and dealt with the fallout of not replacing him if not just to try and balance what appears to be an unbalanceable set of books. I think Moonhead is in a world of trouble there and maybe for once he'll be right to point out it wasn't his fault when it all comes crashing down. If it doesn't crash around him then he might go down as the saviour of that club but I wouldn't put any money on that happening.

But then again the common denominator is Moonhead. If he's done it at Everton, no reason to suspect that he won't do it at Barca. I suspect that his ego is such that he thinks he is the giant in the dugout and once he has his control, he can do as he pleases.

With Barca in relative turmoil and needing to swap from the old guard to a new generation, with the addition of constrained finances due to Covid, I still for the life of me can see how he was the right choice. A diplomatic but firm man manager type was what was needed - and one that the fans could get behind as part of that role is to bring harmony back at the moment. Find that guy and things can return to normal. Koeman is too abrasive for that.

The finances of Barcelona are horrendous. I can see nowt but sorrow there for a while. Whilst we aspire to being one of these mega clubs, the risks are so much greater.

Barca also have plans of a much needed €500m upgrade on the Nou Camp. Don't know if that's now been suspended?

I just did a search and just yesterday Barca announced that they are continuing with the revamp and hope to start next June.
The cost is now €800 (about £730m?)

Not sure they realise just how much damage this tosser can do to them in a short time but they are going to very soon. Struggling to hold onto even 5th spot currently.
