So Barca are stony broke. Completely skint. Borasic.
How can this be - this is what FFP was brought in for to stop?
So what happens next? Let’s take a guess...
They blame COVID and get given a bucket load of
government aid (again). FFP gets ‘suspended’ and they come
out of it smelling of roses (again). They had a chance to sell
one of their players for £100m a couple of months ago but
turned the opportunity down. Is anyone asking why? The
most corrupt football club on the planet - bar none aided
and abetted by the most corrupt football administrators in
the world.
What's Spanish for "move along, nothing to see here."?

But I thought Uefa, the Spanish federation and government all favored Real. I can't stand Barca. Enjoy the show.

Messi's frustrations clear to see when hounded upon his arrival from a transatlantic flight in Barcelona. Bartomeu/Rosell may be out but Grupo Godo continuing to pressure him out by proxy. It's nauseating, even with Font/Laporta I now see an almost mission impossible to convince him to stay.

Adding insult to injury, Spanish treasury boarded his plane on arrival in Spain and kept him & everyone in his family for an hour on the tarmac. He's being hounded by design. It will no longer be a question of sporting project to convince him to renew but protecting him from the Nuñistas that destroy even the Goat. 2nd half of season will be interesting because this is the first public comment he has really made since his August interview

If elections can be called up sooner then City might be able to facilitate a January transfer but unlikely atm since the interim management council will not be able to make any significant move/sale since setting elections for the 3rd week of January much less selling Messi...unless elections are moved up

But, for me, it is clear - Leo will play for City in January or this summer

And hopefully Garcia is used as a makeweight in the deal to keep the price down in January.

his wages are probably bleeding Barca dry thats why they want him out

Only chance Messi renews is if Xavi comes back and convinces him to stick around. Can see that happening tbf, Koeman will be out well before the end of the season.

Love Xavi but he can do nothing to protect/convince the player from the toxic atmosphere around the club. Barto/Rosell are out but the Nunistas remain to influence by proxy

Just like that, Pep's renewal for 1+1 years now openly being reported in the media. A matter of when, rather than if

Managerial career:

  • Load of pony teams in a pony Dutch league
  • Benfica - got legged out of town
  • Valencia - got legged out of town and battered with sticks
  • Southampton - took over Pochettino's team and got 6th place
  • Everton - spent £250M and made us relegation candidates
  • Barcelona - took a Euro super power and turned them into Burscough Town
