They need to sack him. They can’t afford to sack him. They have no one @ the club with the authority to sack him

it’s an absolute car crash

Seen a few games this season. This seems like the end for Messi as an elite player. Still capable of incredible bits of magic but has become very difficult to accommodate in a team without unbalancing it because his legs have gone. It is interesting because I was thought Ronaldo would fade first as he is older and appeared more reliant on his physicality. I thought Messi would be able to adapt to a deeper lying position and use his play making ability but the way football has evolved in recents years with teams being so athletic and pressing you can’t really afford a passenger.

They should have cashed in during the summer to enable them to start a rebuild. On a slightly different topic it really does look like dark days for la liga. With Ronaldo gone and Messi on his last legs and all clubs broke and having to slash their wage bills the league is not going to be particularly marketable. At least it looks more open this year but it is more due to both Real and Barcelona imploding then the other teams making great strides. Expert a big push for a European Super League

Managerial career:

  • Load of pony teams in a pony Dutch league
  • Benfica - got legged out of town
  • Valencia - got legged out of town and battered with sticks
  • Southampton - took over Pochettino's team and got 6th place
  • Everton - spent £250M and made us relegation candidates
  • Barcelona - took a Euro super power and turned them into Burscough Town
A bit harsh on Burscough Town that.

I'd still take him over siggurdson to be fair

Not fronting it with the media after getting beat - good to see ronko is still a shithouse, but where's el capitan Messi when the chips are down?!

Disgusting to send a 17yo kid out to face the music. This is after sending dest ( a non spanish speaking debutant!)!out to do the media when real beat them!?

How he's still in a job is beyond me!

I would imagine they don't want Messi anywhere near the media at the moment.

Completely agree it's ridiculous to be sending a 17 year old kid out there though. Club is rotten to the core and needs an almost complete clear out.

I think Messi is just tired of being Messi. It's basically been a decade of the hopes and dreams, successes and failures of two of the largest and most passionately supported footballing institutions being put on his shoulders. I just don't think he wants to do it anymore.
