What I noticed was this

"It was difficult, that period, because Everton are a club, and also the fans, who expect sometimes too much".

Ignore the fan part of this for a minute, 'Everton are a club who expect too much'.

In other words Mosh was not going to put up with mid table, he was putting pressure on moon head to deliver results, entirely understandable given the money spent and it's good that he isn't seeing it as a vanity project but expects success to be forthcoming.

Koeman just admitted he wasn’t good enough to take us to the level we want to be by saying the club is living in the past.

He simply does not get Everton or the size of the club he was managing and the ambition to get back to where we once were.

When Messi leaves I wonder if he will be saying Barca fans expect to much to win the Champions league and are expecting to much ?!?.....cause they won’t get near it under him especially when Messi leaves

”Everton are a club, and also the fans, who expect sometimes too much and I think sometimes they are still living in the past about the great seasons that they had at Everton.”

Admitting his own failings there. To paraphrase -
"Everton both as a club and their fanbase, expect to return to the great successful seasons that they have had in the past. I found that difficult, it was too much for me"
Would much sooner hear this from a former manager, rather than "The club and their supporters lack ambition"
It's very heartening to hear that the club (presumably he means those responsible for running the club) have a burning ambition to return us to former glories.
If he had said that Everton as a club lack ambition, then I WOULD be fuming.

If he can't handle our expectations, how on earth will he handle Barca's? I find his utterance weird. Barca are on the decline with waaay bigger fan expectations.

He is frankly deflecting blame for his own incompetence. Fan expectations didn't sign Bolassie and 3 no. 10s lol

It was a weird time.
Having Walsh, loads of money and not signing any of the good Leicester players will always baffle me.

Dont think any manager could of done as bad a job as him, downgrading the the first team the squad and reserve side all whilst spending record amount of money, horrible person so I've heard.

Astounding money.

Bartomeu will go down as the most stupidest chairman ever in Football.

We know Messi is the greatest player ever, but to give a 4 year contract like that would cause financial ruin and it's absolute come home to roost, they haven't paid the players since the middle of December.

80% of their turnover is on wages, with Messi getting 60-70%.

Utterly astounding leadership from Bartomeu that could bring down one of the world's greatest sport names to ruin.
I argued with a Barça fan today who insists that Messi generates twice the amount for the club. I don't believe that personally but if it were true it would mean the board must be even more incompetent than they appear. And that's a high bar.

Took over a good Pochetinho's side at Southampton.

Out of the 9 club's he's managed, 7 of them he's lasted 12months.

Internationals may suit him as he spends 3 weeks max with the national side and picks the players he wants without complaints or agro from players he can snub.

He's had pedigree of causing upset at Valencia, Everton, and now Barca.

So no. He's a fraud.

Will just keep repeating this.

The man is irrelevant and the worst manger we've ever had. I stand by that.
