Ronald Koeman Sacked

I've thought the same about Rk playing for the sack. As a mercenary I think he lost heart over the summer, when he couldn't get exactly the players he wanted. I think having also lost the trust of some of the players, he just bided his time til payout day. Despite undoubtedly being set up for life, in terms of wealth, the man did not have the moral backbone or honour simply to walk out. He waited for his dismissal and bumper payday, while simultaneously making himself available for the barca job, should it come calling, without having to inconvenience his beloved club to shell out compensation to Everton. Wouldn't surprise me one jot, if barca hadn't planted the seed of the idea in his head. We'll see, who turns up in their dugout next, i guess.

Hateful business, greedy, damaging little man.

Do I not like orange.

I will actually die of laughter if that muppet ends up in the Barca dugout. It would actually kill them off once Messi goes.

Unsy can get the team playing. I do feel maybe the players want Koeman out too after seeing todays performance.

Koeman has had his say...

First part is how he understands the sacking, and that he saw it coming after Lyon if he didn't win vs Arsenal.
This part is gut wrenching

"I had Olivier Giroud in the building," Koeman added. "He would have fitted perfectly, but at the very last moment he decided that he'd rather live in London and stay at Arsenal.

"That was really hard to swallow. You tell me, where you can get a better striker? Lukaku was so important for us, not just because of his goals. He had a certain way of playing as a striker - strong.

"He could hold the ball, he always had an eye for the goal, he was fast. If things were not going well in a game, if we could not play the way we were used to and how we wanted to with ball possession on the ground, there was always the option to use the long ball towards him.

"All of a sudden [after Giroud's decision], we were missing such a player. With Nikola Vlasic and Wayne Rooney, we had attackers who want the ball at their feet.

"When you are struggling as a team with the build-up from the back, and we no longer had the option to kick it long, you know you have a problem."

If he'd have had a plan b or c, like, he wouldn't have been sacked.

Indeed, he seemed reluctant to try and different approach of pace and counter attacking football.

Wasn't Koeman on holiday on transfer deadline day? Maybe Giroud was with him in Portugal?

If only that were true. He blew a hundred million quid in 16 months

Give us a striker and it does take the pressure off though.

We still have the same issue. I can't see where the goals are coming from.

To actually now know just how close Giroud was - at FF, in fact! - is gutting. Really is.
