You're correct mate.
Unfortunately, the new breed of Everton fan will not share our patience.
What Leicester did was not the norm
A better idea of what's normal would be to look at clubs like Chelsea, City, Wolfsburg etc
These are clubs which acquired new investment but didn't win the title straight away. It may have only taken some of them 2-3 years to do it, but the fact remains that it took time
Yes, it would be amazing to win the League in 16/17, but so long as we show a marked improvement on the past two seasons, that is ultimately the most important thing
I'd like us to get away from this mindset of demanding everything right away and right now. We need to view this for what it is, a new manager coming to a club with a new investment with a side that needs a face lift both when it comes to tactics and personnel
If we finish sixth next season and win, say, the League Cup, that's a GOOD season. It's not the super duper amazing season we've all been desperately longing for, but it is a good season and a springboard for something better
That is how we need to view this IMO. Stablise this season, get back on the right path and then look to continuously improve every season after that
We can now afford to be patient, so let's be patient and give the club time to match our ambitions over a couple of seasons before we start throwing toys out of the pram
Let's not hold Moshiri to the wall for mistakes made before he got here. Let's give him the time he needs to get this ship righted and back on course
