Ronald Koeman...good choice for us?

  • yes, he'll get us top 6 and stability

  • no, it's uninspiring even if top 6 is back on

This will take time

Realistic timescales need to be set

So long as improvement is being made, that is what's important

If it takes us 3-5 years to win the League, then so be it, so long as progress doesn't stagnate

We regressed under our previous manager and that needs to be corrected first

We must be patient

You're correct mate.

Unfortunately, the new breed of Everton fan will not share our patience.

Two Top Six Finishes
A Cup win
Making some good signings
Getting some wins over Liverpool
He leaves to go to Arsenal/Barcelona
Strong base for new manager to build on

That'd be fine for me to be honest. Anything more than that would be a bonus

This is going to be a gradual process that takes a few years and maybe a couple of managers before the club is where we want it to be. With the new investment, I'm willing to be patient. There's less urgency because we can afford to take our time for once

If all goes well, we'll be fishing in bigger waters for whomever his replacement will be

This can be a beneficial arrangement for both parties

Welcome to Everton Mr. Koeman!

Would love some derby spankings. This is a must.

What Leicester did was not the norm

A better idea of what's normal would be to look at clubs like Chelsea, City, Wolfsburg etc

These are clubs which acquired new investment but didn't win the title straight away. It may have only taken some of them 2-3 years to do it, but the fact remains that it took time

Yes, it would be amazing to win the League in 16/17, but so long as we show a marked improvement on the past two seasons, that is ultimately the most important thing

I'd like us to get away from this mindset of demanding everything right away and right now. We need to view this for what it is, a new manager coming to a club with a new investment with a side that needs a face lift both when it comes to tactics and personnel

If we finish sixth next season and win, say, the League Cup, that's a GOOD season. It's not the super duper amazing season we've all been desperately longing for, but it is a good season and a springboard for something better

That is how we need to view this IMO. Stablise this season, get back on the right path and then look to continuously improve every season after that

We can now afford to be patient, so let's be patient and give the club time to match our ambitions over a couple of seasons before we start throwing toys out of the pram

Let's not hold Moshiri to the wall for mistakes made before he got here. Let's give him the time he needs to get this ship righted and back on course

This will be a great appointment for you I think. Experienced, disciplined, respected and with a talent for developing players. Back to winning trophies and belting those complacent goons across the Park quite soon I would think.
......will even put Palace's lengthy unbeaten run at Goodison under threat eventually I suppose...

We need everyone 100% behind us now make goodison great again, not toxic, i remember when it was song after song now just heckling if we are patient and fully behind us can see us becoming great again and competing but need time
