Ronaldo is such a sore loser, he is one of those footballers that's always throwing tantrums if games don't go his way, or he gets sub. The recent rumours per the Daily Mail (so make what you wish of it) is that he lost his temper and "smashed the phone' out of an Everton fan's hand's"

Yep he sure is.

However I will say that he’s probably living under immense pressure with millions of people having their say while he has to take constant abuse. That’s not really normal. Doesn’t justify breaking a fans phone but he snapped.

As a YouTuber (not a very high profile one) who gets the odd negative and critical comment here and there, I would love to answer back but know that in most cases its a bad look.

But back to ronaldo, he made a mistake joining a younger team who has no reason to help him become more successful than he already is.

EDIT: looks like it was a kids phone as well, so honestly no excuse for that. Embarrassing stuff.

Unprovoked assault on a kid. Smashed the kid's property and severly bruised his hand. The fact that the kid is autistic makes it worse and the mental impact on the kid might be hard.

I wish we had a few players who chucked a wobbler when we lost. It shows his passion for the game. It shows he cares. He has said sorry and offered to take the fan to a game at OT. Fair play.

I'd want way more than that if my property was smashed in a petulant hissy fit.

There are plenty of winners throughout the world of sport, both current and historically, who held themselves to much higher standards regardless of how much a defeat hurt them. You can have passion without being an arrogant prick. Take your fume into the dressing room and the training ground and air your grievances there.

The incident looked rather inconclusive and lacking in mens rea but damage is damage and I'm sure a reasonable apology and recompense is more than adequate. Let's not get too woke over it!
