Rooney kissing the United badge..

I'd have him back in a heartbeat. World class footballer? Yes thanks. And some more if they're going.

As if he would ever even consider it.

I don't pretend to understand what flipped in his mind to make him switch from 'once a blue always a blue' to kissing Utd badges to wind up blues fans. But I suspect there's far more chance of him going over to the dark side than returning to his roots.

Anyway by the time he considers himself to have burned out sufficiently to play for a non-CL side like Everton he'll be rich enough that he won't need to bother.

He doesn't love us anymore, he's got Carragher syndrome, loved us when he was younger, decided the abuse he's got since he's switched alligance was to much and decided he's not a blue no more.

You don't do what he did today, don't care how good he is, i NEVER want him back at Everton, he lacks the class and personality to ever represent our club again.
100% agree with that.(y)

Never, ever want to see that **** in a Royal Blue shirt again. Would love it for him to have a career ending injury. He definately lacks the class and personality to be an Evertonian, and I'm almost ashamed he was ever connected to us.

Once a blue, now a red, in our hearts you are dead!(n)(n)(n)

The thing of it is that if he signed for Everton in January (obviously I'm stretching reality here!) 99.99% of suporters would be screaming ROO-NEY, ROO-NEY at the next goal he scored in a blue shirt.

Such is life.

If we signed Rooney, im pretty sure the ground would be half full - And the fans wouldnt be singing Rooney, just cheering for teh team, you are one of the only ones who wants him back, as to why - im not sure, as well as being a **** - there are better players for his price.

Stretching reality that far would allow us to play WR Dean alongside Yakubu.
Don't get me wrong I'm all in favour of reincarnation, I just don't expect it to happen in the January transfer window. At least not until the we're bought out by the Dali Llama and a consortium of billionaire Tibetan Yak farmers.

i think he should be booed for eternity.
like notts forest fans should never be allowed to forget that they are scabs.
like steve mcmahon(even if his group did take us over....oh, i do like)
alan handball

it's not a case of "build a bridge.............and get over it", i'm not prepared to let it lie, i will call hansen handball if i see him when he's 90 to let him know that it's never forgotten so he's still not got away with it,
it's like that with gooney, i cant believe that they dont expect it if they were one of us as they said, if they were truely one of us at any point then they would know why we do it.

Let that moral ownership crusade go...you're going to make yourself ill.(y)

I've said before (in the thread about having rooney back :confused2: ) that I would have him back at the club.

Today he showed that he cares, by reacting to our fans jibes against him.

All this abuse going back and forth is just football banter at the highest level. The fans try and put the player off by throwing abuse, the player tries to put in a performance to shut the fans up. Our fans won against Rooney today. b)

I feel sorry for his dad

Spot on. That's all it is at the end of the day - banter. What did Rooney do other than wind up those intent on winding him up?

It's ironic that Ronaldo tried to get Everton players sent off today and he's received less stick than Rooney! What was the bigger crime - kissing a piece of acrylic or rolling around feigning injury?

Unbelievable reaction.

They're Buddhists they believe in reincarnation and can at least lay claim to the physical high-ground if not the moral variety. :D
That whooshing sound.. ;-)

With our luck we'll be taken over by Buddhists after Claus Thomsen and Brett Angel have snuffed it. :o

I couldn't find a stream that worked so haven't seen this. But all the reports I've read claimed that Rooney was taken off precisely because he was allowing himself to get wound up, responding with actions such as kissing his badge. Fans try and wind up opposing players - it's an accepted and integral part of the game. Players attempting to wind up opposing fans used to be similarly accepted but is now regarded as a cardable offence. Rooney knows it, but couldn't control himself and was substituted to prevent him getting a second yellow.
To my mind that's quite a result.

Lots of players try try to get opposing players sent off. Ronaldo just seems to do it more often than most. And today he didn't succeed.
