Sigurdsson - for many reasons already discussed on this forum.
I like Rooney, it would be good if he came on a free with a pay for play deal, but that's never going to happen.
Sigurdsson is a forward thinking move and would improve our squad long term.

Sigurdsson is 4 years younger. It's not even close.

Gylfi definitely, but I wouldn't turn my nose up to both either. Given where they play though, if we signed Wayne, which seems likelier, then I wouldn't expect to see Sig.

Any decent attacking player will cost £30m plus. Sigurdsson is still in his prime. Rooney was in his prime about 4 years ago.

Wouldn't be massively keen on either really. At same time wouldn't be massively disappointed if we signed one of them. Rooney would be less of a fee but more in wages. Sigurdsson the opposite (but younger). But I think, of the two and as a club, we'd be more inclined to go for Rooney.
