Rooneys comment

I'm thinking about introducing a forum called 'Matts Rants' and confining them all to it. I can picture the pinned threads;

"Matt and Liverpool"
"Matt and Football Finances"
"Matt and Rooney"
"Matt and Burger King"

Misunderstood, grinds some folk up the wrong way, but a character on the forum. I've learnt to appreciate reading a Matt rant and the expectation for it to continue 23 posts into a thread later, without any provocation, almost an "OH AND ANOTHER THING...." moment. We should have a feature called "Matts Rant", like 'What grinds your gears' on Family Guy.

Agreed. Him alongside the Ghost and davek would be sensational on here.

Excellent posters really.

Hmmmmmmm...... have a feeling he has me on ignore, so probably won't have seen it.

he has issued an apology by all accounts

edit.
Wayne Rooney apologises for criticising England fans
England striker Wayne Rooney has apologised "for any offence caused" by his remarks about England fans after the 0-0 draw with Algeria on Friday.
Some fans booed the team off the pitch after the final whistle, prompting Rooney to say into a television camera "nice to see your home fans booing."
Full story to follow.

I must of missed the burger king one. Did i fall asleep for 3 months or something?

I've got not problem with Rooney saying what he said. None at all.

Yep.

Fine the fans have a right if they really want to to boo, but it achieves nothing and is pretty ridiculous and stinks of the typical England attitude of thinking they are better than they actually are.

The players had an off game? Lets boo them cause they should of beat them crappy foreigners 48-0.

They complain of the players not having any heart or passion, then complain when rooney shows some.

I bet each and every one of those players are worried about being made a scapegoat and having effigies of them burnt.
