Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

He has found his place in Chelsea’s squad , on the bench and that’s where he will stay except for the odd cup game and replacing rested players
But he will run around with Hazard and Alonso clutching his medal if Chelsea win anything
He will be gone in 2/3 years

and will have probably achieved more in those 2-3 years than he would have done in an entire career at Everton

Should have clarified, he’s achieved more than any player has at Everton in the last 23 years.
Not sure I agree, whats he achieved? cant even get in the England side, being a bit part player in a side means jack when everyone knows you he personally has done and contributed nothing, I would say Cahill has achieved more, he has the admiration of a set of fans, something Barkley will never have, once his playing days are over nobody will ever care about him

I think he needed a change of scenery, but I really don't see him cutting it at Chelsea. He had to make himself undroppable in those openings few games he started, but he looked to be playing within himself, keeping things overly simple and safe.

Loan move to one of Palace, West Ham or Fulham in January, I reckon.
