Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

I'm just going to repeat this again.
- Barkley: in Europe
- Everton: not in Europe

I think we know who wins here.

And yes, @Baines' left foot, we get it, you think people who are mad at Barkley are idiots.

Everton - in control of our destiny somewhat. Still a club on a upward trajectory.

Barkley - benchwarmer whom everyone from Gareth Southgate on down has forgotten about.

Sure he's on a wedge and might get given a few medals (which he won't play any part in winning) but his career looks to be in an awful state considering possibly should be. Expect him at West Ham by next season.

I regret that he left. But I resent him for wanting to leave and the manner he left.

I will not pander to the fawning over a player who shafted the club that gave him a career and helped him back from a serious leg break.

Well said, Tim.

Though I don’t “resent” him wanting to leave as such, I despise him for the manner in which he left a club which as you say, nursed him back to health after a serious injury.

Never had a problem with him leaving. I don't despise Stones or Lukaku for leaving for a better club, that's natural for a player to look to improve himself. But I can't stand this snake for how he left, I'd never have him back.
