Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

His problem has always been in his head, not his feet. When he plays instinctively, he’s very good, with time to think, makes poor decisions.
That result will destroy his brittleness confidence. Lampard won’t take prisoners. I’ll be surprised if he starts the next game.

The thing with Ross is that when the passing option closes and he cant get his initial pass option off, he cant safely protect the ball and try again...he gets stripped of it far too often.
Thats where the brain comes into play and he doesnt have one.

He will be floating about West Ham/ Newcastle team soon enough.

He'll never go to that level.

Lampard will figure it out. He's lucky Chelsea have ban. He'll be persevered with and I'd back him to remain a starter. He needs a goal or two to get confidence.

He's not good or consistent enough for that level, if he hasnt cracked it now he never will.

It's a pivotal season in that respect.

However, if he slips out of the elite, he'll go to a best of the rest club like back here or to Leicester, or abroad to a good club. You wont see Barkley in a West Ham shirt or Newcastle shirt. That truly would be like giving donkey's strawberries.
