Just to clarify... I think they way he's mugged the club out of £20m in order to pick up a bigger wedge for himself is about as ratty as you can get. Initial reply wasn't meant to be a defense of Ross.

To be perfectly honest, I said it to my brother on the last transfer deadline day that this was the only logical reason that he didn't move in the summer... if he was essentially promised a bigger signing bonus in exchange for waiting.

The fact he cost the club 20 million is disgraceful.

Should be seen as a modern day Nick barmby in my eyes.

He is no.1, Barmby wasn't a blue to start with and was at least going to play in the first team of the club he was going to and we got some decent money back for the time.

We offered Ross massive wedge to stay, yes he might have been miffed that Rooney has come and taken that position but you have to back yourself to get it again and with age on his side he would have. Also there is far more optimism about Everton these days.

He will be my all time player I love to hate.

Rightly or wrongly, I expect his reception when he finally returns to be on par, or worse, that Rooney’s.

Oh yes way more, can't wait to give him stick as soon as he gets off the bench to warm up.

Nice to see everton going out of its way to sell our best players to our rivals ASAP before bringing new players in.. Lukaku, now Barkley.
