Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

Surprised he didnt just sign in the summer. After the contract rejection he was always off, just a shame its happened the way it has costing us a decent fee. Sad to see a first team player leave, but glad this rediculous saga is over.

I can't see the issue with this at all. If you want to blame anyone for this then it is Koeman for his treatment of Ross that made him want to leave in the first place. Everton should have got a higher fee for him, not Ross's fault it is only 15 million. Yes, he pulled out in the summer so he got a bigger signing on bonus, but can anyone tell me that they would not do the same. At the end of the day, it is his job, and he wants to get paid as much as possible like most people do.

This is why its entirely his fault we got a lower fee and he pocketed more.

It would be great if people focused on how these high profile transfers out impact upon their own club and the morale sapping effect it has on their own fellow supporters and the further diminution of Everton's status in the game instead of always putting themselves in the shoes of the party which has screwed us over.

Most of us have no empathy at all for his financial gain by doing this, but are angry that EFC are the losers in all of this.

And rightly or wrongly, we are pointing the finger at Barkley as the villain in the piece.

Not gonna lie, I'm gutted he's left. To think we had him, Stones and Lukaku and were just as crap then as we are now is frightening.

Maybe he should have left in the Summer, I just wish we had the ambition and quality to get him to stay.
