I doubt unless his attitude changes he will ever set foot on the field while Conte is running the show. But it's up to him to prove his doubters wrong.

I've no idea about his attitude, what I do know, is having watched him for years, is that he is well down the pecking order in that squad.

I think there's a wilful and collective attempt by Evertonians to downplay what they saw from Barkley when he was here. He was head and shoulders our best player on the ball. Lukaku may have scored more goals, but Barkley was THE talent.

If Chelsea have top coaches then they can coax that out of him. It's there to get out though.

But now 24, not even getting in a Chelsea squad.

So that will be Moyes, Martinez, Koeman, Hodgson, Southgate, Allardyce, and Conte who have tried.

Apart from this last manager - who didn't want him, btw - his previous club managers all wanted him. Theres no way Martinez didn't rate him, or Koeman either for that matter (he just perversely set out to wreck his confidence to show what a big man he was).

This is no misfit.

Once Conte goes and they bring in a new manger I think he has even less of a chance at Chelsea, new manager in the summer will want money to spend and will bring one or two of his players in, who im sure will be playing next season. If he ever plays 30 games for them i will be shocked, meanwhile Moyes will want a few players at West Ham next season

This is no misfit.

Never said there was. But a capped England player, with his obvious talent, now being a squad player, at best, under a manager who isnt that arsed, suggests to me he hasnt been that well advised. Feel for the lad. Should be in his prime.

Our 3 supposed crown jewels, Barkley, Stones and Romeboo. 2 can't get a game and the other is getting a lot of criticism for his ability. Maybe they were just big fish in a small pond.

There is no doubt he is a talent, and no doubt that we would all have been delighted had he remained, but he didn’t, he wanted away, and did it in a manner that cost the club money and upset the supporters. He is a rat and I for one definitely hope his career goes down the plug hole, the little toe-rag........
