I've not seen any reputable* outlets confirming that this is true

*as reputable as folks online can be

As we all know ITK claims are often way off however a claim that I have seen is yes he is available and yes he is in the last year of his contract but as for being free in the current window that doesn’t appear to be the case with a fee suggested of £7 million.

However it’s just possible that Chelsea still owe Everton some add ons and or a small element of his fee so negotiated deal would I guess be possible .

I threw his and RLC names into the pot the other day and was laughed at but I wouldn’t dismiss them possibly moving to you. RLC would do a decent job for you but Barkley has not ever got past first base at Chelsea

Perhaps I should not have mentioned Ross being thick, because after all some of our best past players were intellectually challenged and yet superb at their football. Two come to mind immediately, Rooney, Southall. If I thought hard enough I could name 10 more. The RS had Ian Rush, one of the thickest, but what a player!

Southall? He lasted 2 weeks or was it longer as manager at Dover FC and went back to North Wales to vanish as far as I recall from football altogether. Before Bury he was, err a binman (God Bless binmen). Remember the hilarious demo by our RS neighbours in the Park End with the inflatable black binbags? Southall took it in good humour. One of our greatest ever players.
