I don’t hate him as much as most. I think there was objective evidence that he was injured during his medical, which caused Chelsea to put the breaks on the deal and get him for half price four months later. I think Everton would have done the same thing as Chelsea given the circumstances, like when we bottled out of signing Leroy Ferr because there were some concerns that he could possibly get injured in the future.

If I’m faced with the choice between Everton being relegated or having Barkley back, I know what I would choose. We seem to have issues with everyone anyway; Tarkowski is a yard dog from a relegated Burnley, Lingard uses TikTok etc etc.

That isn't the choice we face. In fact, being relegated with Barkley picking up a fat wedge from us in the process would be a donkey kick in the balls.
