He definitely does improve it if only for the simple fact he actually has some semblance of technical ability and can retain possession under pressure.

Happened with Lukaku, they gave him a go after West Brom, he had a howler in the Super Cup (including the pen miss), and off he went to us.

If we show our hand early, and miss out on a Gilmour, Gallagher, Colwill, Broja, all for Barkley, then it’s mad.

The only way it’s acceptable if Barkley is just given to us, as he’s out of contract at end of the season, isn’t it? Just a signing which will cause issues.
