Ratboy was interviewed in the Guardian shortly after Koeman was dismissed and he was full of praise for how the Dutchman had improved his game and expressed sympathy for his sacking.
I don’t think Koeman demanded he remove his Everton tat either despite a red crimbo tree.

All I can say is that according to Barkley himself he enjoyed working under Koeman, which certainly doesn’t suggest any ill feeling. In fact he felt Koeman improved him, again his words .
Koeman at the time said he was disappointed Barkley was going and had done all he could to persuade him to stay,
In fact Barkley’s refusal to discuss or sign a new contract predates Koemans arrival and strongly suggests he had already made a decision to leave.
If his reason for leaving is a perception that he was treated poorly by the supporters then he would be well advised to avoid returning because there is now a real grievance amongst many fans and this time any abuse would be genuine and far worse.
