Ross Barkley

Nice over reaction.

I was just saying i thought the best thing to do with those kind of fans was to ignore them, or laugh them off.

Not rise to them by giving them the reaction they crave.

I think saying that Martinez waited till a presser was over and then told journalists that we're talking to city over Barkley was laughable and some people treated it accordingly.

And some bit.

Which is up to them but i don't think me telling a city fan that his team aren't as big as mine on the internet is gonna make any difference to anything.
OK fair enough.

Pushed out to the left a little too much for my liking.

The problem of trying to accommodate both him and naismith in the same team?

the end of the game was great. baines, pienaar, eto'o, barry, barkley, naismith and occasionally osman....all on the left side

no wonder coleman looked bored today

That's not true mate. We can spend what we like come next summer. The commercial revenue which the club brings in has put us in a position where FFP will be nothing more than a passing afterthought in the coming years.

You can hear it the tone of his quotes that something's going on. Very aggressive in terms of building a picture of "players need to be careful etc etc". Using the Owen to Madrid analogy. Talking about one club in particular to whom it doesn't matter whether a player has signed a contract or not.

I think City will end up signing minimum three top drawer players next summer. Reus is number 1 on their list. Looks like they don't want to miss out on Barkley either. 45 million sounds about fair in today's market. Lets see how he does for the remainder of the season and how his knees hold up.

Before anyone starts accusing me of being arrogant etc. I think Kenwright is going to sell, and certainly the people i've spoken to suggest he's already at the table negotiating.
Where would you play him?

He is too defensively weak at the moment to play in a midfield two which seems to be your managers default option. And if you did switch to a 4231 you have more creative options like Silva who can play #10 as Ross still needs to improve his decision making on when to pass/shoot. He might work out on the left or right of a midfield three but don't think I've seen you play that formation much either.

He looks like he will be a superb player but he is not there yet. We'll build our team around him that will maximise his playing time and development but you won't afford him that luxury as you already have some very expensive players to cater to. In every interview with or about Barkley it is mentioned how much he LOVES playing, he is not going to move anywhere until he is certain of playing regularly imo.

I tend to annoyed - not angry as the little manc cumstain isn't worth my anger - when some other club's fan comes on this forum and continually takes the piss by condescending us. If he came on and was sound then no problem, as demonstrated with other fans of other clubs who visit here.

What makes me angrier is fellow blues going along with it and allowing to happen, even backing him up. So, before you have a little snidey dig about gif responses why don't you sort your head out and realise which side you're on instead of taking pot shots at other blues over a city supporting tit.

Its a reason we have a WERLD FOOTBALL forum.

If they want to talk about their clubs they can do it there.

Coming on here from another forum and talking about Barkley as if its a certainty he's going anywhere is provocative and in my view deluded. He's just signed a 4 year contract.

Plus FFP means Man City ain't all that.

I just like ripping them on their lack of football finance knowledge

Needs to be played more and behind lukaku, we were fantastic against villa and lukaku sounded made up to have ross back behind him. When mirallas is back i would like to see:

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Alcaraz Baines

Mccarthy Barry

Naismith Barkley Mirallas

Lukaku

I think Martinez has played an absolute blinder with him this week. Villa at home, massive boost to have him starting and gives everyone a lift. Comes to Lille and Ross really had to put a shift in to keep pace of that game and really got a lot of rustiness out of his system. Martinez played him 30 minutes longer than he would have probably have liked to but was obviously looking at getting him up to speed match fitness wise. Today, rests him and brought him on at the perfect time today
