When he came back he was hands down our best player during pre-season and got us all very excited, then goes and gets a long term injury days before the Season starts stopping any momentum that he had, then the bad form came and he was expected to do big things and transform us when he was fit, and that never happened and it affected his confidence.

Are we all guilty of hyping him up. Let the lad breath and get a regular role in the side.
He was a marked man last season and he will be the first to admit he didn't have the intelligence to counteract the oppositions tactics. I think last year was a massive learning curve for Ross and one that will do him the world of good in the long run. Of course we are guilty of over-hyping players, the whole nation does it, the difference being Ross can most definitely fill that potential and look a star on the world stage.

Think so too. Del will share the burden of making the unexpected happen, which sometimes seems to have laid heavy on Ross' shoulders. Also Del's direct threat down the flank creates space for the rest of the attacking players.
at least it's holding his drink rather than on his pizza.
