Ross Barkley

I do find it odd how our fans have been dismissive about Barkley based on this loan spell, admittedly on the back of mostly negative feedback from Wednesday fans, but as soon as he scores a goal he's suddenly a useful player again without knowing anything about his overall performance today.

I'd much rather the lad was having good games rather than scoring a goal here and then and doing little else.

Yeah he was probably sh*t today.

A great decision to loan him out, by the looks of it.

I dont see how that can be said when we've been without a quality CM last week and still may for tomorrow's game...and he had the option to recall him for just such a mini-crisis. It's been the very opposite of a 'great decision' in fact.

Your under the assumption that he would have played, he wouldnt.

If a player scores 2 goals, it doesnt really matter how they played for the other 89minutes of the game.

Woooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah there (thats English for stop a goat).

I thought it was very important how he played for the other 89 minutes, as in its all very well doing good things in the final 3rd (scoring goals, creating goals, that sort of thing), but it was his other play that was the issue?

& chose not to, because he obviously feels that the lad isn't ready to be playing CM in the PL yet.

Given that opinion, loaning him out to get him game time was the obvious decision.

Even if he'd have been here, there's no chance he'd have been starting ahead of Osman & he's certainly no defensive mid, so there's no way he'd have ousted Neville either.

No mate. It doesnt work that way.

people going on about him playing cm , moyes would never play him cm at the moment , not for a lad his age anyway .he would play rm where ossie started out when he broke through .
