Ross Barkley

Personally I'm hoping when he comes back he can take Osman's place. Assuming Gibson will replace Neville.

But might as well keep him on loan until he's ready. Regular football will do him the world of good.

Seems the obvious one. Funny how most, including me, think Ross would be ideal at ACM but Moyes seems to always want him playing CM. I wonder what he see's that others dont? Maybe he always had Mo earmarked for it?

havent seen much of him like just been reading the 'owls forum'

sounds like hes got talent obviously good to see him finding form aswell seen his goals
been told hes been quality, cuzins a shef wednesday fan [lives in sheffield]

in jan would rather do a loan deal but we are short + have nevvile cm atm so could do with bringing
a midfielder in whats going of with that belgian lad? not ready for us yet maybe on the bench but will learn
more there getting games just hope he benefits when he comes back

alot of there fans saying hes a bit dozy of the ball but when hes on it hes class little bits needs to learn i rekon
look forward too seeing him very soon though. good loan for him this

To play him CM he needs a proper proper solid CDM next to him, preferably Gibson.

Gibson Barkley
Mirallas Fellaini Pienaar
Jelavic

However, id leave him there all season. Just my opinion like.

I don't think he's a Neville mold obviously but I'd like to see maybe for December

Mirallas Gibson Barkley Pienaar
Fellaini

Not many teams can better that in our league, if any.

Would be awesome going forward like. You've got to play both ways in the prem though, ask abel xavier, and some of the owls who have come on still think he lacks a bit defensive awareness. I'm not sure if this season would be a bit soon for him?

He's a better option coming on than the likes of Gueye though. I'm still undecided TBH.

That's the problem though. I'm just desperate to get rid of Neville but it could ruin Barkley's development. I was speaking to a Wednesday fan who says he has vastly improved these last few games, he started slowly but that was to be expected.

Really wouldn't want Ossie out of the side. I'd rather he came in and started getting 20-30 minutes off the bench to start with.

going off the highlights ive seen hes defo doesnt go forward as much as you think .. he starts from deep i reckon then powers forward .. keep him there till end of the season and he will come back a new player , match sharp , and willing to take a tackle .. hes very intelligent got unbelievable awareness e.g.like wilshire

Even if he came back though he wouldn't displace Neville IMO. Gibson will be the man to do that unless Moyes has no faith in Coleman.

Don't you find he is far too inconsistent though? He's a very frustrating player and at 31 I'd like to see him being faded out.

Yeah if you look at young players at the other top clubs, Walker, Naughton, Bertrand, Welbeck, Sturridge, Wilshere, Cleverley etc they all earned their spurs elsewhere so to speak and only came back to the mother club when they were trusted to start reguarly.

I'd rather only bring Barkley back if he's going to get real game time, here. If he's just going to sit on the bench keep him in the championship.

All the best managers know when the time's right for that. I'm not sure Moyes has got that based on Cahill, Saha and Weir. Hopefully he'll do the right thing here. Hopefully the kids so good he can't be ignored. If he carries on scoring and doing well at Sheff Wed the media will start talking and it'll go from there.

No I don't, he's still got a lot to offer, he's greatly underrated, and even though he is 31, he's still playing good football. Until that stops, then I still think he should start.

I really don't think Barkley is ready to be starting games in the premier league. By all means bring him on as sub, something I think should have been done last year. No doubt in my mind Neville should be replaced but not by Barkley at the moment for me. Next season a Gibson and Barkley centre midfield partnership would be perfect.
