No game is easy in the Championship.

Leeds are certainly no mugs, will be in and around the play off area. To play in front of 30,000, live on Sky and in one of the most heated/craziest atmospheres I've witnessed as a football supporter and to put in a MOM performance at 18 is some achievement.

Ipswich although started poorly and low on confidence, have arguably some of the most talented individual players in the league. Chopra, Emmanuel-Thomas, Carson for example.

Peterborough are not the best side in the division, but regardless he put a cracking performance in and you can only beat what is out in front of you.

Got to remember we hadn't won in 10, he came into a losing side and was part of a losing side. For an 18 year old to come into a side shot of confidence and become the key figure in that side is some achievement and shows the quality of the lad. You can spot his ability from a mile off, doesn't matter who your opponents are.

They're not exactly a doddle in the prem either, like.

Look I like the lad, he was our bright spark against QPR last year and it's utterly scandalous that he didn't get more game time then he did off the back of it. But I'm holding off until he plays a bit more before I get too wild with the hype.

Fair enough, probably the correct position to take.

However, I'm usually the pessimist, but Barkley really is as good as I'm making him out to be. Judging from what I've seen of him so far, there is no doubt in my mind that he'll play for England.

A joy to watch.

I completely agree with you, but as Evertonians we've heard it so, so many times it's lost all meaning.

Billy Kenny, Danny Cadamarteri, Jose Baxter, John-Paul Kissock, James Vaughan etc. etc. etc.

But yeah, I'm with you. I think he's a very special talent. But I thought that about Freddy Adu too.

seth johnson played for england - higher praise please

Picture the scene. Its a wet, horrible derby at Anfield 2014. Gerrard has just attempted to run on a through ball and realised his legs can't carry him any more after carrying them for 12 years. Barkley skins 3 players and sticks one in the top corner to give us the win. Gerrard, infamously our bogey player, is a shadow of his former self, whilst Barkley emerges as the man who Liverpool fans will come to hate and fear. The proverbial baton hath been passed.

glad he is doing well, best place for him at that age, will learn the game a lot quicker playing for a decent club like sheff wed in front of big crowds than the odd off the bench stint for us , it will toughen him up playing there and he can make the odd mistake and not get it plasterd all over the place like in the prem, we could do worse than lend them a few of are younger players and it would **** sheff unt off after them pissing us about over the kyle naughton deal infact send few over to tranmere as well on that score.
