Ross Barkley

Lots of good points made both ways in last few page.

The problem I have is that Barkley got more play time last season that he's going to get this season. Don't understand that or see how anyone can define that as progress.

Also agree with those who said that Moyes has a terrible track record of bringing the academy players into the first team. If he doesn't come back from Leeds and play a few games, I would start to think that he's not going to make it at Everton.

Maybe Leeds were the only team that could offer him 1st team footy in his position? If so, Moyes would be doing the right thing as that would allow him to improve more? Probably not, but still a possibility

Everton needs some adventurous young talent from somewhere - on average we are probably the oldest and most experienced team in the league - and unfortunately it shows - we battle to keep up with the younger guns at the top -
we need a better mix between age and beauty - will give us a spring in our step again i believe

Sterling is a blert who will go the way of Michael Owen if he ever gets an injury that hampers his pace

I tihnk he's got two kids already to two different girls as well, the ****

By all accounts it sounds like he's done ok;

United new boy Barkley made a good early impression, both with his strength in the tackle, and with his passing, and he almost released Becchio on goal inside the opening 20 minutes.
The home side were clearly firing on all cylinders and after a great challenge by Jason Pearce, Martin Crainie headed the resultant corner inches wide of the upright.
Kenny was called upon again to save from O'Brien and Barnsley looked a threat when they moved the ball and put Leeds under pressure.
There was a halt to play after half-an-hour for O'Brien to receive treatment for what appeared to be a nasty injury. He was stretchered from the field, clearly in pain, to be replaced by Jacob Mellis.
It was the hosts who carved out the next chance, though, when Leeds lost the ball in the middle of the park and Chris Dagnall sent a ball fizzing across the face of goal.
United made two changes at the interval, introducing Ross McCormack and Paul Green, replacing El-Hadji Diouf and David Norris.
And it was United who had the first opportunity of the second half when Barkley worked himself a opening from distance and sent a low strike just wide.
It was a more positive start from Leeds and Barkley went close again when he rattled the underside of the bar with a vicious strike.

All the Leeds fans on Facebook were saying he was good.

Can't be having that. It won't suit the "he's not ready/exploding knees/not developed properly" crew.

Let's revise history for their sake - he was terrible today and almost gave away five goals.

You forgot the, "Moyes is an idiot" part and that it's his fault Barkley didn't score 3 times today because had he come on for 20 minutes against Cheltenham, he would have.
