It's a shame for him. Hopefully he'll be involved for us in the final then! Can't help but think he'd do better for us on the right than Naismith.

.....wide midfielders these days have to do their bit at both ends of the pitch. Naismith will double up with the full back and do his bit defensively. Its a vital part of the game and one you need to consider next time you watch Barklay.

Naismith does a solid back up for the 30 minutes his legs let him - as for Barkley you have to see him play more than ten minutes than his return from a loan spell at Sheff Wed to judge that - he looked neat & tidy playing at Stoke away when he got his ten minutes - DM stated on his return from loan we have midfield players injured he has had good reports from Dave Jones so he has recalled him for that reason = DM ignors him splinters in his a$se for the duration while we watch a poor blues midfield of a central paring of PN & Osman combined age of 66 years old!

If he comes back and we have an injury crisis during the later rounds, everybody would castigate Moyes for letting him be cup tied, we don't need to do Leeds any favours.

Its not doing Leeds a favour its doing us a favour.

If we were playing Spurs in the cup people would say we can't play Barkley in this kind of game he's not ready, he might make a mistake and it would be better if we can send him on loan and make mistakes for them.

Well he won't learn a damn thing sitting on the bench all because by some freak chance we have no other players left due to injury that we have to play Barkley in later rounds.

The same Barkley who isn't ready to play for us but can't play for Leeds in case he needs to play for us. Makes no sense.

What he'd get out of a game like this far outweighs the chance that we'd be so desperate for players we'd recall a player who apparently isn't good enough to actually play for us.

It's things like that which make me convinced that the lad is being badly handled.

that was my initial point. it's ridiculous on that basis

We just want him to play so we can see him on the tv but we might need him so it a safe bet not to get cuptied, he can play the league games for them.

Most of the Leeds United fans slated him for his performance in the cardiff game. Supposedly after he missed the sitter (he had a shot a few inches out saved by the keeper), he looked like he didn't want to be involved etc.

However they do say Leeds are playing him wide right at the moment, which could be the problem.
