Ross Barkley

He couldn't do much worse than Neville whatever his natural position is.

It's not that. You play Fellaini in his actual position alongside Osman, drop Neville, play Barkley in behind Jelavic or on the bench to be used as a viable option.

It wouldn't be a like for like swap, it'd be a re-jigging of the setup.

Thought that much was obvious but some people are determined to believe Moyes is managing Barkley right, when it's crystal clear that he hasn't.

He's not ready lads, that or he's complete gash like all our other young players and should be playing in League 1.

So quite why he came on today i don't know, maybe he became ready this morning or something.

His treatment from Moyes has been a joke.
Starting him at Elland Road amongst other kids.
Bringing him on at Goodison when 3-0 down.
Poor effort, he seemed ok and should start all the time til the end of the season. We're safe from relegation so we've got nothing to lose. We will finish below the RS whether he plays or not. Blood him in now whilst theres no pressure

Its really not obvious at all to play your top scorer in defensive midfield.

Neville shouldnt be playing but Gibson or Hitz need to be in the Neville position. I'd play Felli alongside them, so the only debate is wether Barkley should get a chance ahead of Osman or the other wide positions.

If I were him I'd seriously think about slapping in a transfer request this summer. It's clear that if Moyes stays the lad will never get the chance to break into the first time ahead of the deadbeats already there.

Phil Neville on the other hand will be given an improved one year extension and have the week off to rest for the big City game next week after his heroics today.

IMWT.

Pienaar kept trying to find him, clearly rates him after his comments a few days ago.
I agree that Barkley showed today that, without doing anything fantastic, he should be playing more.

Throwing him into a couldren of unhappiness when we are 3-0 down and expecting him to come up with the goods is uncalled for.

It's just bad management.

That coming from a man who promised to nurture him into the team and protect him.

Moyes has had countless chances to give the boy playing time in games were we have been comfortably controling but he never puts him in, what does he expect him to do when he's thrown right into a warzone and the team is playing badly?

Throwing Pele on in todays fiasco and expecting miracles would have been a huge ask, so allowing Barkley to get on and bask in the reflected indignity of todays fiasco seems a touch crass.
